Tune in to the 2020 Barracuda Championship
It’s that time of year again! The Barracuda Championship is set to begin on July 27 at its new venue in Truckee, California. Barracuda Networks became the title sponsor for this PGA TOUR event in 2014 and it’s always one of our most exciting and rewarding events of the year.
The event this year will definitely be one to remember. This will be the first year for the Barracuda championship at Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood Golf Course. This course is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design and is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, nearly 6,000 feet above sea level. Like our previous venue, the new course is approximately 30 minutes outside of Reno and North Lake Tahoe.
This year will also be remembered as the first year of the tournament without on-site spectators. In accordance with California and Nevada County guidelines, and our own concerns for public health, we have also canceled our Partner Advisory Council, Partner Awards presentation, pro-am tournament, and the other valued events we usually host leading up to the start of professional play.
The Golf Channel will televise the Barracuda Championship live on this schedule:
- Thursday, July 30 | 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. PDT / 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. EDT
- Friday, July 31 | 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. PDT / 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. EDT
- Saturday, August 1 | 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. PDT / 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT
- Sunday, August 2 | 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. PDT / 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT
While we can’t enjoy the on-site experience of the Barracuda Championship this year, we’re sure to have a great competition. The Nicklaus design, the mountain elevation, and the Modified Stableford format are sure to make for some exciting gameplay.
