Your complete guide to the 2025 Barracuda Championship

Every summer, golf fans gather to experience the action and excitement of our highly anticipated annual golf tournament. The 27th annual Barracuda Championship is an official PGA TOUR event in collaboration with the DP World Tour, operated by the nonprofit Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation. Barracuda has been the title sponsor of this prestigious PGA TOUR tournament since 2014.

The championship will take place in Truckee, California, from July 14 to 20 at the stunning Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood. This scenic 600-acre course, featuring a Jack Nicklaus signature design, has hosted the competition for the past five years. The championship follows a unique Modified Stableford scoring format, making it a standout event on the PGA TOUR.

Prizes and competitors

With 156 professional golfers set to compete this year, each athlete will vie for their share of a remarkable $4 million purse, along with 300 FedExCup points and 4,250 DP World Tour points. The winner will take home a substantial $720,000.

Confirmed competitors this year include notable players such as Joel Dahmen, Camilo Villegas, Nick Dunlap, and Eric van Rooyen. Both Nick and Eric are both past winners of the Barracuda Championships returning to defend their titles. Nick was the youngest winner in Barracuda Championship history when he took home the trophy in 2024, and Eric Van Rooyen earned his first PGA TOUR title when he won the 2021 tournament.

• Thursday, July 17 — Round one of the Barracuda Championship
• Friday, July 18 — Round two of the championship
• Saturday, July 19 — Round three of the championship

• Sunday, July 20 — Final round of the championship
• Sunday, July 20 — Closing ceremonies
