Email attacks aren't slowing down. If anything, they're getting smarter.

From AI-generated phishing emails to increasingly convincing impersonation scams, today's attackers are finding new ways to target users and bypass traditional defenses. At the same time, security teams are dealing with growing workloads, limited resources and the pressure to respond faster than ever.

That's why we're excited to share that Barracuda Integrated Email Protection has been named Best Email Security Solution in the 2026 Tech Ascension Awards. The award recognizes organizations that are helping solve some of the biggest technology challenges facing businesses today.

Stopping modern email threats before they become business problems

Email remains the primary way cybercriminals gain access to organizations, and the tactics they're using continue to evolve.

Many threats no longer stop at delivery. Malicious links can become dangerous after an email lands in an inbox, while AI-powered social engineering attacks make it harder for employees to distinguish legitimate messages from fraudulent ones. Barracuda Integrated Email Protection addresses these challenges with AI-powered detection that continuously evaluates risk and identifies threats across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. It helps organizations defend against phishing, business email compromise (BEC), account takeover, impersonation, and AI-assisted attacks.

Security that saves time

Blocking threats is only part of the challenge. Security teams also need tools that reduce complexity and help them respond quickly when incidents occur.

The Tech Ascension Awards recognize Barracuda for combining advanced threat detection with rapid API-based deployment and automated remediation capabilities that help streamline security operations.

And that can make a real difference in day-to-day operations.

Take BNBuilders, for example. Using Barracuda, the company was able to detect and remove more than 12,000 malicious emails, cut inbox clutter by 50%, eliminate manual cleanup during active incidents, and simplify daily workflows by consolidating multiple security interfaces into one.

Those kinds of efficiencies matter when security teams are being asked to do more with fewer resources.

Celebrating innovation in cybersecurity

The Tech Ascension Awards evaluate submissions based on innovation, market impact, measurable performance, and competitive differentiation. The winners demonstrate how technology can solve real-world challenges while delivering tangible outcomes for customers.

For us, this recognition stands out because it reflects what matters most: helping customers stay protected against a constantly evolving threat landscape without adding unnecessary complexity to their security operations.

As email attacks continue to grow more sophisticated, we're committed to making cybersecurity easier to deploy, easier to manage and more effective at stopping threats before they disrupt business.

We're honored by this recognition and grateful to the customers and partners who trust Barracuda to help keep their organizations secure every day.
