As the end of 2021 approaches, the team at Barracuda is celebrating more than the holiday season and the upcoming new year. We’re also celebrating an exciting award win for Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup.
Last week, CRN announced the winners of the 2021 CRN Products of the Year, and Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup was the overall winner in the Data Protection and Management category. This follows CRN naming Cloud-to-Cloud Backup as a finalist in the 2021 CRN Tech Innovator Awards in November. Let’s take a closer look at what made Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup stand out from the competition.
CRN 2021 Products of the Year
Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, which provides a fast, scalable, and resilient backup platform to protect data in Microsoft Office 365, was named the overall winner in the Data Protection and Management category of Products of the Year, beating out competitors such as Veeam, Axcient, Commvault, StorageCraft, and Zerto.
CRN Products of the Year is not an award vendors can apply for. The products are selected based on the expertise of the CRN editorial team and then voted on by solution providers who have real-life experience with the products and technologies. The fact that this win is based on input from our channel partners makes this win even more meaningful for us.
According to CRN: “Offering protection of data in Microsoft 365 apps including Teams and SharePoint, Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup runs natively in the cloud and offers simplified management—enabling easier monitoring of backups and rapid restoration of data.”

What people are saying about Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup
In January, we announced the latest version of Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup with a new platform that delivers a fast search and restore experience for Office 365 data, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
“With a cloud-native solution, you get the benefit of scale on your backup, and your solution is fully managed. So unlike with traditional backup solutions, where you have to do capacity management and capacity planning and make sure you have enough storage, a cloud-native solution, like Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup really offers you a managed solution with virtually unlimited capacity to store your data.” — Nills Franssens, Senior Cloud Solution Architect, Microsoft

“Setup and configuration was very simple and intuitive, and Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup is truly a set-it-and-forget-it solution. If we add new mailboxes, they get backed up automatically, no action required. That means we’re saving money and time, too — no need to manage or upgrade, no provisioning of new instances. That whole set of tasks is just gone.” — Ian Towner Infrastructure Services Technical Lead City of York Council
