It’s that time of year again! The 2021 Barracuda Championship is set for August 2 through 8. This will be the tournament’s second year at Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood Golf Course. Barracuda became the title sponsor for this PGA TOUR event in 2014 and it’s always one of our most exciting and rewarding events of the year.
This Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course is located in the Sierra Nevada mountains, nearly 6,000 feet above sea level approximately 30 minutes from Reno and North Lake Tahoe.
Last year’s Championship had no spectators due to Covid-19 restrictions, however, this year will mark a return to live attendees cheering on their favorite competitors. Richy Werenski, last year’s champion, will face a talented field as he works to retain his title, including tenacious competitors like Branden Grace, Ryan Moore, and Gary Woodland.
Here’s Werenski discussing his come-from-behind win in last year’s exciting tournament.
