We’re excited to announce that Barracuda has been named a finalist for Commercial Marketplace 2021 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. This is the second year in a row that Barracuda has been honored as a finalist in this category.
“We’re honored to be recognized again as a finalist in the Microsoft Partner of the Year awards,” said Nicole Napiltonia, vice president of global alliances at Barracuda. “It shows us that teaming with Microsoft to provide integrated and connected cybersecurity solutions on Azure is making an impact for our customers and solution providers. We look forward to continuing to work together to offer innovative solutions in Azure Marketplace.”
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based solutions during the past year. Awards were classified in various of categories, with honorees chosen from a set of more than 4,400 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide. Barracuda was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in the Commercial Marketplace category.
The Commercial Marketplace category recognizes partners for excelling in their marketplace journey. Barracuda is Microsoft Gold Cloud Partner and an Azure Marketplace pioneer with Preferred status for nine marketplace offerings, and a total of 18 solutions published directly by Barracuda, as well as numerous Barracuda solutions co-published in the Marketplace with Cloud Consulting Partners.
In addition, Barracuda was the first Test Drive adopter, security VM in Azure Marketplace, and transactable SaaS offering. Barracuda is often tapped for Marketplace pilots, including Marketplace Private Offers, which helps the team win provision-on-demand customers that otherwise would be bogged down in procurement. Barracuda Firewall and Backup Service for Azure solutions are also available in Azure Gov Cloud marketplace.
“I am honored to announce the winners and finalists of the 2021 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards,” said Rodney Clark, corporate vice president, Global Partner Solutions, Channel Sales and Channel Chief, Microsoft. “These remarkable partners have displayed a deep commitment to building world-class solutions for customers—from cloud-to-edge—and represent some of the best and brightest our ecosystem has to offer.”
Innovating for a secure future
Barracuda and Microsoft have longstanding a strategic relationship. Their collaborative development project has driven groundbreaking innovations in data security, application security, network security, and data protection.
Recent highlights include the new Azure Test Drive for WAF-as-a-Service, which is the first-ever SaaS test drive on the Azure Marketplace, collaborating on the latest version of Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, and the launch of Barracuda CloudGen WAN, which is the first secure global SD-WAN service built natively on Microsoft Azure. Barracuda is also a founding member of MISA and has multiple MISA-certified solutions.
Barracuda also partners with Microsoft SIs for Azure Marketplace offers. For example, Vandis’ Managed SD-WAN powered by Barracuda CloudGen WAN delivers secure connectivity between branch sites, datacenters, and cloud environments within an SD-WAN solution.
“Having a supported solution from both Microsoft and Barracuda gives you the support structure needed to scale and the ability to address client needs in a repeatable manner,” said Tom Ricardo, Head of Cloud Strategy and Solutions at Vandis. “Barracuda was one of the first in the space to focus on cloud solutions and their solutions fit seamlessly into Azure environments.”
