Today, Barracuda announced it has been named a finalist for Commercial Marketplace 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
“We’re honored to be recognized as a finalist in the Microsoft Partner of the Year awards,” said Nicole Napiltonia, vice president of global alliances at Barracuda. “It shows us that teaming with Microsoft to provide integrated and connected cybersecurity solutions on Azure is making an impact for our customers and solution providers. We look forward to continuing to work together to offer innovative solutions in Azure Marketplace.”
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year. Awards were classified in several categories, with honorees chosen from a set of more than 3,300 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide. Barracuda was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in Commercial Marketplace.
New to the awards this year, the Commercial Marketplace category recognizes partners for excelling in their marketplace journey. Barracuda is an Azure Marketplace pioneer with Preferred status for nine marketplace offerings. In addition, Barracuda was the first Test Drive adopter, security VM in Azure Marketplace, and transactable SaaS offering. Barracuda is often tapped for Marketplace pilots, including Marketplace Private Offers, which helps the team win provision-on-demand customers that otherwise would be bogged down in procurement. Barracuda Firewall and Backup Service for Azure solutions are also available in Azure Gov Cloud marketplace.
“It is an honor to recognize the winners and finalists of the 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards,” said Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president, One Commercial Partner, Microsoft. “These partners go above and beyond, delivering timely solutions that solve the complex challenges that businesses around the world face – from communicating and collaborating virtually to helping customers realize their full potential with Azure cloud services, and beyond. I am proud to honor and congratulate each winner and finalist.”
Barracuda and Microsoft have shared a strategic relationship. Recent highlights include the launch of Barracuda Web Application Firewall (WAF) as a Service — built on Azure, the introduction of V-WAN multi-link for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall, and the integration of CloudGen Firewall with Microsoft Azure Sentinel. Barracuda is also a founding member of MISA and has multiple MISA-certified solutions.
Barracuda also partners with Microsoft SIs for Azure Marketplace offers. For example, 10th Magnitude’s Cloud Adoption Framework “Landing Zone” with Barracuda CloudGen WAF allows organizations to quickly deploy necessary infrastructure to begin migrating to Azure.
“Bundling our services with Barracuda’s WAF to create the Healthcare Optimized Azure CAF Landing Zone helps us deliver a streamlined experience for our customers, with the peace of mind that comes with knowing a strong security solution is already built into it,” said Alex Brown, CEO, 10th Magnitude.
