Barracuda and Microsoft – Pure Gold

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Barracuda’s CloudGen Firewalls are quickly becoming the go-to for organizations leveraging Azure and wanting top-notch security in the cloud.  And right now, our Microsoft Preferred Solution firewalls are featured in the Azure Marketplace.  Choice of configurations and BYOL and PAYG licensing ensure customers can leverage Azure security however they consume the cloud – and Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls are tightly integrated with Azure so they build on Microsoft’s already-hardened security and cloud services.

And we have more great news!  Microsoft has just launched another partnership tier – Gold ISV – and Barracuda has achieved this latest Microsoft competency.   We have been a Gold Application Development Partner since the partnership tiers were first formed, and last year we became a Gold Cloud Platform partner.

While it’s always great, of course, to be recognized by Microsoft, this is also important for our partners and customers because it demonstrates our ongoing commitment and relationship with Microsoft.  We work closely across many different departments and engineering groups at Microsoft to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge and provide great value to our customers.  With a company as large as Microsoft – they have 131,000 employees and recorded sales of $110 Billion last year – this is no easy feat, but we are passionate about this relationship – and very proud to be recognized as “Gold” in these three key categories.

One of the reasons for the success of our partnership is that we work very hard to make sure our solutions are ready to support the ongoing innovation of the Microsoft Azure team.  For an example of this, see this clip from Microsoft Ignite 2018, where Reshmi Yandapalli, Principal PM at Microsoft Azure Networking, discusses our support for the Microsoft Virtual WAN:
