We are pleased to announce that Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda has launched some new security options for Managed Service Providers. The Barracuda NextGen Firewall – Intronis MSP Edition is now available in two new deployment options:
You can get all the details on these new options from the press release here.
Barracuda acquired Intronis in late 2015 and we immediately began investing in the company and our new MSP customers. The company was rebranded to Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda (Intronis), and began to integrate Barracuda solutions into the Intronis business. By summer of 2016, Intronis was able to offer Barracuda Backup, Archiving, and Email Security Bundles, and the Barracuda NextGen Firewall. These solutions could be integrated into the Intronis ECHOplatform, making it easy for existing customers to adopt while still offering great flexibility to new MSPs.
The Barracuda NextGen Firewall (NGFW) is purpose-build for modern distributed networks and the smart perimeter. It offers application-awareness so that customers can intelligently prioritize traffic. We originally offered the NGFW – Intronis MSP Edition as a virtual appliance, which worked well for Managed Service Providers working with virtualized environments and multiple customers. The two new deployments give MSPs more flexibility in how they protect their customers.
Nathan Bradbury, our Manager of Systems Engineering at Intronis, explains more about these new deployments in this blog post.
