Microsoft’s Office 365 includes basic email protection but doesn’t protect against malware and phishing attempts. Customers can choose an additional Microsoft product, Advanced Threat Protection, or can choose an entirely different email security solution. Either way, customers need to do something to augment their email security or they expose themselves to growing security threats, as the move to Office 365 exposes an entire company to a heavily online environment.
