Barracuda today introduced its new Barracuda Cloud Video Gateway solution that gives customers management flexibility across multiple third-party ONVIF cameras. The Barracuda Cloud Video Gateway empowers customers with most ONVIF-compliant cameras to simplify physical security management across all devices and locations. Delivered via a hardware appliance, the gateway provides local video storage and advanced management features for use with Barracuda’s own CudaCam or other branded cameras. Customers also can leverage Barracuda’s innovative bandwidth controls to help optimize performance based on network requirements. Additionally as part of this launch, Barracuda rebranded its CudaEye cloud-based video surveillance product line to CudaCam.
“Today’s customers require additional flexibility to better manage their overall security infrastructure, including physical security and video surveillance, and the Barracuda Cloud Video Gateway gives customers the flexibility they need,” said Ken Grohe, SVP & GM, Emerging Products, Barracuda. “The Barracuda Cloud Video Gateway extends the robust management capabilities we’ve had with our own cameras to many other third-party cameras, giving customers the ability to manage their installations how they choose.”
“ClickAway has installed more than 300 CudaCams for multiple customers, with plans for more installations. The new Barracuda Cloud Video Gateway offers customers the ability to centrally manage third-party cameras with one solution and makes it a potentially seamless transition for existing ONVIF-compliant infrastructures,” said Jeremy D. Buschine, Director of IT, ClickAway. “The successful ClickAway and Barracuda partnership is based on a shared business model of outstanding customer service combined with excellent solutions for our customers, and we look forward to continued success.”
As part of this launch, Barracuda also has rebranded its CudaEye cloud-based video surveillance product line as CudaCam. CudaCam is a complete cloud-based video surveillance solution that captures high quality video images and records it directly to Barracuda’s secure cloud. The video is encrypted over the network and can be viewed from any web browser or mobile device. The new Barracuda Cloud Video Gateway provides local video storage and advanced management features for use with CudaCam or other brand cameras. Setup is quick and easy and Barracuda’s innovative bandwidth controls help optimize for specific network’s requirements. For more information, please visit cuda.co/cudacam.
