With five races under his belt, our Rallycar driver Austin Dyne is looking pretty good. He's off to the Daytona International Speedway this weekend to kick off the second half of the season and take his racing to the next level. This is the first time that Red Bull GRC has been held at Daytona, aka the “World Center of Racing.”
“I am super pumped to be racing in Daytona,” said Austin Dyne. “It has so much history and it’s cool to be bringing Rallycross to one of the real hubs of motorsports in this country. The track layout is awesome and looks to be the fastest track we will have this year in Red Bull GRC!”
The Daytona track is the longest so far:
Drivers will start on the frontstretch of the famed speedway and the joker lap appears before the first turn. Turns two, three and four features the dirt section of the course and the jump. The terrain goes back to pavement before turn five and completes with a technical section consisting of a horseshoe and a roundabout. The total distance is .924-miles and holds 13 turns.
