We are pleased to announce that the Barracuda Web Application Firewall and the Barracuda NG Firewall are now Microsoft Azure Certified.
Microsoft Azure Certification assures that the Barracuda Web Application Firewall and Barracuda NG Firewall have been tested for readiness and compatibility with the following:
- Microsoft Azure public cloud
- Microsoft Cloud Platform hosted by service providers through the Cloud OS Network
- On-premises private cloud Windows Server Hyper-V deployments
Microsoft announced this certification earlier today, and we are excited to be the only certified security solution.
The Microsoft Azure Certification brings Barracuda customers several benefits:
- Time of deployment of both products is cut by 50-80%
- Ease of deployment increased by 90%
- Deployment bandwidth requirements are reduced to near-zero
- Current and future Barracuda on Microsoft Azure products will now allow both evaluation and purchased licenses at deployment time

More details on our current Microsoft Azure Certified solutions:
The Barracuda Web Application Firewall for Microsoft Azure is the first integrated, fully scalable security solution on Microsoft Azure. With predefined security templates for web applications and 3rd party packaged applications like Microsoft SharePoint, companies of all sizes can enjoy total application security with no need to learn, configure, and manage complex technology. It is fully integrated with Microsoft Azure and can dynamically scale to meet application performance and workload requirements.
The Barracuda NG Firewall for Microsoft Azure provides next generation firewalling and secure remote access to Microsoft Azure. It enables organizations to deploy sophisticated multi-zone network architecture in Azure, just like their on-premises networks. By using the proprietary high performance VPN protocol extension TINA, the Barracuda NG Firewall deployment enables secure high speed (>1 Gbps) site-to-site and client-to-site connectivity between on-premises networks and mobile-user devices, as well as connectivity between VNETs in Microsoft Azure. Best of all, it's the industry's best centralized management, ensuring highly scalable and fault tolerant network infrastructure required by today’s users, without the management overhead.
