Today we're happy to announce that we're expanding our Barracuda Load Balancer ADC product line.

For the unfamiliar, the Barracuda Load Balancer ADC is an application delivery controller that optimizes the availability of servers and services. This device maximizes the performance of an application through content caching, traffic management, and other technologies. Barracuda launched the Load Balancer ADC in May of this year, as part of our initiative to capitalize on data center opportunities.

The product includes a long list of great features around acceleration, availability, control, and security. It’s available as a physical or virtual device, and we offer a free 30-day trial at this page.

So how can it get better than that?

Today we launched the Barracuda Load Balancer ADC 540, which is available as a physical device or virtual edition. The 540 is designed for customers looking for a secure and affordable midrange ADC platform with robust security. The new model includes the following:

  • 4x1GbE ports
  • Total throughput of 2-Gbps
  • Optional application security subscription for integrated web application firewall capabilities

You can get more details on the Barracuda Load Balancer ADC 540 in this datasheet (pdf) or in our press release announcing the product.
