Apple products can be a bit pricey so a 40% discount offer is a nice thing to see in your mailbox. Spam monitors at Barracuda Networks have been following a campaign that uses Apple’s brand to persuade you to open password-stealing malware (Trojan.Zeus) posing as a “discount coupon” awarded by lottery. Never open an email attachment to get access to a coupon, invoice or notice of any kind. While this example could be better written, some recipients might be excited by the savings and ignore this advice. Slow down and take care. Oh, and spammer? Take a note – Circuit City is out of business.
